Submachine Gun Rubber Band Gun
Perfect size, fun build, great quality. Still trying to figure out how to work it but these are my notes as I was building it. I love that the instructions make no mention of glue being needed. The piece boards are significantly thinner than any other models I’ve done from various other brands but that could serve a purpose. I’m just starting and noting my observations. Having a millimeter ruler of some sort included in the pieces would be extremely helpful, especially when dealing with the metal dowels. Plenty of extra pieces left over and spares included. Great fun!
Maybe it’s me… but it’s not….
This is my third one. I really enjoy the builds but every one has a major design flaw somewhere.. on the step posted above, the entirety of the gun function relies on that step. The locking pin literally just rest on a tiny peg and swivels around it. After a shot or two, peg falls out of holder… I’m going to take it apart and glue it but there’s always something…. Smh… come on ROKR ….
What a cool puzzle
This puzzle was a challenge to build at times. I felt like an armorer as I was working with small pins and springs to put this together. However, it was so worth the effort. This gun is a nice size and shoots 12 rubber bands on full auto, while spitting out wood dowels to represent spent casings from the drum magazine. The puzzle comes with everything you need, to include some extra screws, springs and parts in case you drop one. Some of these are seriously small, so I was very glad for the extras. I would definitely recommend giving this to someone who has patience, because when putting together the trigger housing and workings, it is a lot of small detail work. Overall there are not too many pieces, but enough that this will take you a while to put together. I did it over four or five days. I am sure you could do it in a day or so, I just wasn't in a rush and was enjoying the process of putting it together. It comes with plenty of rubber bands and even three targets. You can manipulate the trigger to fire one or two rubber bands at a time, or yank it back and let all 12 fly in rapid succession. I also like the fact that you can turn on or off the spend shell casing feature, so you are not always picking up rubber bands and small wood dowels. All in all, another ROKR success. I was super pleased with this and had almost as much fun building it as I had shooting my wife and kids will rubber bands. lol.
ommy Gun I received this as a gift. I'm 46, in case you're wondering. This thing is awesome! What a great build. It took about 8-10 hours to build, taking my time. Very detailed instructions. It comes with everything you need to complete the build, including tools, wax, and sand paper. Pay attention to the instructions, and be careful not to force anything (it is wood, after all). Fully automatic! I only got one full cycle of 10 shots out of four attempts, but that's fine. I might not have put enough wax where it was needed. No matter what, this was a great build. Definitely pay attention to the age/skill level of the kit. I think any younger that 14 or 15 and you'll probably end up with broken parts and a grumpy kid. Resist the urge to punch out pieces, unless you need them. Most pieces are labeled with a pay number, but some are too small. It does come with spare pieces and spare screws.
